A Herd of Antelope

Today is our 3rd to last sea day. We went to art and made a decoupage greeting card. This was the modern decoupage. All the shapes were on a punch out card. So all we had to do was punch out the pictures, attach with 2 sided little foam pads in several laters and we were done. I elected not to use the foam pads so mine is a flat 3 layer. It still looks nice and will fit in the envelope better.

From there we went to the lounge to do crosswords while waiting for trivia. We didn’t do so well in Trivia today. The bonus question was to name as many African countries as we could. We only got 15 out of around 54. Next came a quick lunch in the Cafe and then to cards. We had a foursome for Euchre. Rudy was my partner against Betty and Ben. We lost 2 games to one. You can’t do much with lousy hands. Four times I had a winning hand but someone else named trump before it got around to me.
Several people saw whales spouting around the ship. They must be migrating. I saw one or two spouts but I am very spoiled after seeing the whales playing in Cabo San Lucas. I can see whales spouting at home when they are migrating. More exciting for people who don’t live near an ocean.

The entertainment last night was fabulous. It was the 4 young entertainers, Aiobhin(pronounced Aveen), the cruise director, and Michael, the assistant cruise director, all dancing and singing songs from famous Broadway plays. They were really good. There is a lot of talent on this ship.
‘I’m including more safari photos.
‘Photos: Monkey on car in the parking area, look at the length of its tail!, antelope grazing on the food provided by the park, warthog kneeling to eat, impala side and rear view. They joked that the black lines on the rump stand for McDonald’s in lion language, ostrich, long view and close up, an abandoned nest of ostrich eggs, some are cracked open , albino zebra hiding behind a tree. Notice the contrast from the zebras behind him,, another type antelope, a bird on the animal’s back cleaning out bugs from the fur, two views of village we went through. Each little stand is a different shop, and since it was Sunday, many were closed.

I’ll be back tomorrow, computer and WiFi gods willing, with more safari photos
