Disappointment
We were up and ready to go through immigration. The pilot was on the ship and all was looking good in spite of the dreary day. We did not get permission to land. It was too windy. So we moved on to the next port which was Durban. We got there in an hour or so. There were several people who had booked an overland trip to Botswana and Victoria Falls. They were unable to leave because we couldn’t land in Durban either. The winds were too strong. So we are on the way to Port Elizabeth with another sea day tomorrow. We’re hoping we’ll be able to land there and get one safari in.
We did have trivia today. It was all about South Africa. We did our usual 50% score. We played cards and watched a movie in the room.
‘We went to dinner with Betty and Rudy. I had filet mignon, a nice treat for a disappointing day. Tomorrow is another sea day so I may not post since there will be nothing new to report. I’m including a few more photos of last night’s dinner. I’m hugging Karen, the hostess at the Restaurant. She knew our names and room number in the first week of the cruise, a special young lady. Our cherries jubilee for dessert last night, the cloudy, rainy African coast, cheers from Bunny and a couple nice sunset shots.

That sucks – I’m at bingo now – not winning – hope you get to land soon
