I’m back!!!

What do you do when Viking gives you a $3,000.00 cruise credit from the World Cruise? You book another cruise, that’s what. This cruise was booked almost a year ago. I can’t believe it’s finally here.
‘The cruise is titled From Paris to the Swiss Alps. They had me at Paris!

I’ll be leaving this Tuesday, Nov !8 for Paris. I’ll meet up with my Canadian friends from the World Cruise, Betty and Rudy. And their friend, Verna, who will be my roommate on the trip. We go to Paris a few days before the official trip starts to have some fun in the City of Lights. We’ve had many phone calls, texts and emails getting our Paris itinerary settled. We finalized it on the phone this morning. It will be a cloudy week with a couple days of rain. We had to plan our activities around the weather. It will mostly be in the 40’s so I’ll have to bundle up.

The cruise portion starts on Sunday. We’ll take a bus east to the Moselle River, with a stop in the town of Trier to see a cathedral. Then we board the ship. We’ll go on the Moselle to the Rhine River for most of the trip. We get off the ship in Basel, Switzerland, take a city tour, then go to Zurich. We’re spending 2 extra days in Zurich so we’ll have time to do some more exploring.

Many Christmas markets will be open by the time we get to Paris, so we’ll get to visit those along the way as an added bonus.
