We didn’t go on our tour today. We needed a day of leisure. Around 11:30 we left the ship , took a shuttle to the hotel at the end of the very long pier. It was pretty hot already but not so humid. We just wanted a glimpse of the place to see what it is like. The hotel was very quiet but of course there were vendors along the walkway. I ended up with a tie dye dress that will be good for hot weather.
‘Bunny bought a top and some jewelry. We saw some friends from the ship who had asked about using the pool. They paid $10 each and had a lounge chair under a big umbrella by the infinity pool for the whole day. Had we known we would have done that too.
‘We sat in the snack bar area and ordered an Hawaiian pizza and a cold drink. It was nice to just sit and look at the water. We made our way back around 2:00. Bunny wanted to work on her summary of the last few days. She’s much more detailed than I am. I transferred photos and then went to the pool at 3:30. It was much too early to be there because of the heat. Left my flip flops by the table in the shade and burned my feet walking on the tiles to get to the ladder. The water was refreshing. I stayed in about 10 minutes because the water level was up to my chin standing on my tip toes. It was nice out side the pool with a wet bathing suit on. I didn’t stay too long. No one from our group was silly enough to be there in that heat. They went later.
‘We went to dinner about 7:00. I had a Caesar salad, sweet and sour pork and crepes Suzette for desert. Then it hit me, Montezuma’s revenge again!! I think it was from the lasagne I had last night in the Italian restaurant, and not the pizza for lunch. Hope it’s gone by tomorrow. I have an excursion to make batik. I don’t want to miss that!
‘Bunny went to the show in the theater. It’s a solo performance by one of the Viking singers. I can watch it in the room. Hope it’s good.
‘I just have a few photos from around the hotel.
