Los Angeles

we woke up in the San Pedro Cruise Center this morning. The above photo is out our balcony at sunrise. The Vincent Thomas Bridge is passing over the port with a big container ship under it.
‘we had breakfast in the room. Everyone on the ship had to disembark and go through passport control. Between 200-300 people got off in LA and we got a new batch of travelers. There were lots of new faces at dinner tonight. We had a big barge pull up next to our side of the ship. Turns out it was the refueling barge.
‘After getting our passports looked at we went outside to await our friends Jo and Yvonne. They took us to the bank to get change for tour guide tips. Then we went to Target to pick up cold meds and batteries and whatever else we forgot. They brought me a couple outfits that didn’t fit in my suitcase and the cards for Hand and Foot. We found some people who want to learn. From Target we went to the original Las Brisas Mexican restaurant. It was really good food. We sat and talked for quite awhile. Good to see them. It will be a long time before we see them again.
Since I was in the US I called both sons to say hello.
came back to the ship, Bunny went to the jacuzzi and I read in the room. We had roast duck a l’orange for dinner in the World Cafe. Then we went to the Atrium to play our new favorite game-Slider. See photo below. I took a photo of the duck carvery in the cafe. Since we have 4 more sea days, I’ll take some ship photos.
We leave at midnight to go to Santa Barbara tomorrow.
