Sailing the Indian Ocean
Never thought I’d be saying in I’m the Indian Ocean!! Today is the first of 3 days at sea. We went to breakfast in the restaurant for a change. We were up early because we set clocks back an hour. Now we have to do it again tomorrow. Pretty soon we’ll be 12 hours different but not yet.
‘We went to art class and dot painted a whale. Mine is an orca in memory of Chris’ dog Orca that I also took care of. We went to trivia and did pretty well. He gave us plots from movies or plays and we had to name the play/movie. Man steals bread, starts a revolution-Les Miserables. Most were pretty easy to come up with. We still didn’t win 😢.
‘Since our itinerary has changed, we have more days in some ports We went to Guest Services to book a couple more excursions to fill up those days. In Bali 8 of us are hiring a driver to take us around. That should be interesting. We met the gang on deck 7 aft where the infinity pool is in the late afternoon. We didn’t swim but several people did. A couple of the guys had one drink too many and were quite funny. We all had lots of laughs. We’re trying to talk one of the men into giving us some photography lessons. Someone asked the cruise director if we could have a place and she’s willing to work with us on it. It may actually happen! While we were on the back deck, we saw a rainbow. It was pretty faint but I think you can see it in the photo.
‘We had dinner in the restaurant with 4 others. I had filet mignon and it was delicious. The apple strudel for dessert wasn’t so bad either. Then we went to the theater a bit early and got some good seats for a change. The ship’s vocal group did a repeat performance of songs from Motown. It was the best they’ve done in my opinion. Lots of costume changes and dancing in the show.
‘Tomorrow will be more of the same. Since I live in California where it’s either blue sky or gray, clouds, I’ve been taking photos of the clouds.
