Sibuya Continued
We left the elephant munching away on the grass. So glad we got to see it. We thought we were going back to the starting point but instead we went to a place where they had big steps to get out of the vehicle. They were harder than just climbing down the way we got in. Then we were told to follow a path, which led to a boat on the river. So we boarded the boat and rode across the river to another dock. We got off and then went back to our same safari vehicles. They must have crossed a bridge. We didn’t really see the use in getting in a boat when we could have just ridden back to the lodge. Once at the lodge we had time for a bit of shopping, bathroom and pick up a box lunch. We had to eat on the bus because we were so late. Back on board time was 5:00 PM. It was 4:30 and we had an hour’s drive back to the ship. They waited for us. We were very tired when we got back but both felt it was one of the highlights of the trip so far.
Today was at sea so we could rest up. I went to art class where we made a macrame key holder. I hooked mine on my purse. When I went to show it to someone at dinner it was gone. Don’t know where I lost it. I’ll check with lost and found tomorrow.
‘We will be docking in Cape Town at 6:00 AM. Our tour to Table Mountain is an early one so we’ll have breakfast in the room before we set off. We need to be at the buses by 7:45. Hope the clouds aren’t hanging over the mountain.
‘Here are a few more safari photos: ostrich, zebras, impala, white nyala, a rarity, male nyala, lion tracks, female nyala, eagle in a tree and Adele on our long boat ride, maybe 2 minutes!
